Description
Position Summary:As a part of Honeywell technology team, supporting its Corrosion Solutions business, the candidate will be responsible for software testing (design, planning, scripting and executing) for a variety of key corrosion modeling and prediction applications.
The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment. The individual will work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution. The individual should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology.
Major Responsibilities:
• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Design and create test conditions and/or scripts to address business and technical use cases
• Ensure the quality of applications
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
• Analyze manual and/or automated test results.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using identified tools
Qualifications
Qualifications:• 0-4 years of relevant work experience in testing role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Technical background and an understanding of the O&G industry (OPTIONAL)
• Good development skills in common languages especially C#
• Working understanding of usability and techniques for assessing product usability.
• Passion for software quality and for advancing testing as en engineering discipline.
• Ability to work and participate in a team with open and collaborative style of communications.
• Good understanding of object oriented programming and .NET framework
• Knowledge of automated testing tools, like WinRunner, QTP, etc is beneficial
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
• Must be flexible, independent and self motivated
Education:
• Engineering Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Corrosion; MCA degree holders may also apply
