System Engineer @ Bangalore

We have urgent requirement for System Engineer (unix / linux) with our client at bangalore as per job details given below 

Job Details :

Title / Position   : System Engineer - Unix/Linux

Experience         : 4 - 8yrs

Education           : Engineering/equivalent degree in CS or ECE or related domain

Required Skill

• Operating Systems (at least 2): Redhat Linux, HP-UX, Sun Solaris, Windows NT - Administration and Performance tuning of the systems.
• Experience Working on: VMware, Veritas Netbackup, Citrix, Zeus load balancers, BigIP F5
• Knowledge of Incident, Change & Problem Management/ticketing systems (HP SM)
• Experience with EMC/3PAR storage frames, Cisco San Switches, & Blade frame technologies
• Scripting, systems performance, Networking, TCP/IP knowledge, firewall experience a plus
• Good analyzing, communication skills, self-motivated and passionate in related technical domain.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in high pressure situations, resolving problems in a timely manner and keeping stake holders involved/updated

Position Summary

• The Unix/Linux Systems Engineer is the primary source for Tier II Infrastructure support of all commercial environments - for any day to day operations issues, and for the upcoming projects/setups.
• On any given work day he/she may be responsible for all, or any subset of Systems, Hardware and Platforms, ensuring proper prioritization of activities and coordination/communication of these activities with management, next tier support organizations, including Engineering and their respective peers.
• He/she will provide continuous support within their given area of responsibility, escalating as required to proactively address potential client impacting events.
